DfE has launched a consultation on Appropriate Body reform and induction assessment. It sets out reforms to the AB sector so that Teaching School Hubs will become the main providers of AB services and Local Authorities will no longer carry out this role. It is consulting on the timing and transition of these changes and seeking views on the roles of the AB and the value of formal assessment in statutory teacher induction. The consultation closes on 21 July and DfE is keen to hear from all those with an interest in early career teachers and their induction.
