From the 2026 to 2027 recruitment cycle, the Get Into Teaching service will no longer provide one-to-one adviser support to returners or ITT candidates interested in teaching primary.
You can continue to signpost candidates to a range of Get Into Teaching support, including:
- Information and guidance on the Get Into Teaching website
- One-to-one support from teacher training advisers for those interested in teaching secondary subjects
- Tailored teaching training guidance by email
- Information and support from our contact centre by phone and live chat
- Access to request classroom experience through the Get school experience service
Returning teachers can also access support and resources via Teaching Vacancies service. Resources include a practical guide to returning to the classroom, with advice on gaining classroom experience, finding a role, and preparing applications and interviews.
