This is an invitation to an upcoming information event on Register trainee teachers. You will need to sign up for this event using the link below.

About Register trainee teachers:

The Department for Education developed Register trainee teachers as a more efficient service for providers to input and manage their trainee teacher data. It will replace the database of trainee teachers and providers (DTTP).

DTTP will no longer be available from 17:00 on 28 March 2022. There will be two days of downtime from 29-30 March when trainee data won’t be available on either DTTP or Register. From 31 March, your data will be available in Register and you should use it to complete actions previously performed on the DTTP. If you did not receive an email outlining these changes on 28 February, please contact becomingateacher@digital.education.gov.uk.

We are holding a series of information events for providers on how to use Register:

  • Register event for SCITTs: 11:00-12:00, 17 March 2022
  • Register event for HEIs: 14:00-15:00, 17 March 2022
  • Register event for lead schools: w/c 25 April 2022 (TBC)

All events will be online only, in webinar format, using Microsoft Teams. You won’t be expected to speak on the call, simply join the stream and ask any questions in the chat. The events will last for 1 hour each.

While each event is tailored broadly by provider type, we encourage people to browse the content being covered in each event and sign up for the event(s) most relevant to their role.

About the information event for SCITTs:

This event is aimed at school centred initial teacher training (SCITT) providers, and is open to those who already use Register and those who are not yet familiar with the service.

The event will cover:

  • Some background on Register and why it is replacing DTTP
  • How to enter and update your trainee data, how to register your trainees and how to recommend trainees for QTS or EYTS.
  • An update on how to view funding information during the transition from DTTP to Register and longer term.

There will be the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the service. If we do not answer any questions during the session, we’ll make a note of them and respond later.

After this event, we will be issuing Register information packs that summarise what’s covered at the events and any feedback or questions. A recording of the event will be available for providers who are not able to attend.

The Register information event for HEIs will cover how to identify HESA data on Register. Please get in touch if you would also like to attend this event.

The Register information event for lead schools will cover information around viewing ITT funding data in further detail. We will send further information on this event closer to the time.
