A quick follow-up to my email of 19 February about the upcoming accreditation round.

Applicant packs will be sent on Friday 7 March to all eligible organisations for 2026/27 delivery who have submitted the form on GOV.UK. The pack will contain further information on next steps and guidance to support your written and verbal submissions, together with details of the success criteria and frequently asked questions.

This is a reminder for all organisations who intend to deliver from the start of academic year 2026/27 (Round 1) to complete this form on GOV.UK to declare their intended year of delivery. Organisations who intend to start delivery from academic year 2027/28 can also complete this form now, although there will be no further action now and your details will be retained for Round 2. The form will remain available until Sunday 16 March.

Once applicant packs have been sent Round 1 applicants have until 1000 on Monday 7 April to submit their completed application form and supporting evidence. Any 2026/27 applicants can change their intended delivery date and opt for Round 2 at any point up to and including the deadline. Application forms or requests to change delivery received after the deadline will be considered only by exception.

It is currently planned that Round 2, for organisations that intend to start delivery from the start of academic year 2027/28, will open in October 2025, with outcomes communicated by February 2026.

There is an information session on Wednesday 12 March at 1500 to answer questions and ensure that all applicants fully understand the process. There will also be three weekly 45 minute ‘drop-in’ sessions held every subsequent Wednesday afternoon (from 1500 to 1545) to answer questions, respond to any concerns and offer support as needed. Please note that these are for 2026/27 applicants only.

The links to the drop-in sessions are at the bottom of the email below my address block – please add them to your calendars.

If you have any questions please email itt.accreditation@education.gov.uk.
