Teaching_Vacancies_Orange

Teaching Vacancies is the Department for Education’s free recruitment platform for state-funded schools in England. The service is helping schools save thousands of pounds on recruitment advertising and supporting teachers in finding teaching roles.

Our trainee teachers’ campaign

Teaching Vacancies is emailing the current ITT cohort, encouraging trainee teachers to set up job alerts and offering them employability advice.

The service’s offer will help trainee teachers prepare for, and find, their first teaching role through the service, and look to increase the number of newly qualified teachers who move straight into a teaching job.

Teaching Vacancies will also be informing all schools about this campaign, encouraging them to post all suitable roles for ECTs on the service for new teachers to apply for.

What can you do to support this campaign?

Last year nearly 40,000 teaching roles were listed on Teaching Vacancies. 98% of secondary schools are signed up and the service is the largest source of primary school jobs listed directly by schools in England.

Please encourage your trainee teachers to visit Teaching Vacancies and sign up for job alerts!
