The Department for Education is working to understand the impacts of social distancing measures in response to COVID-19 on the ability of ITT providers to recruit trainees for the 2020/21 academic year and deliver these programmes. DfE wants to speak to schools who recruit or place trainees for Initial Teacher Training to understand the challenges they face and what support is needed to ensure recruitment can continue and programmes can be delivered in 2020/21.
The sessions will be informal and confidential and offer an opportunity to communicate the individual challenges you are facing at this time.’
