Introducing NASBTT’s free Teacher Educator Subject Networks (TESN)

Now more than ever, the increased focus on subject knowledge within the school curriculum and ITT programmes means that high quality subject resources are invaluable.  Researching these can be a challenge and we understand that your time is precious.  In recognition of this, NASBTT is delighted to introduce its series of free professional Teacher Educator Subject Networks.

Working together with our Subject Specialist Associate Consultants, there is a Network for each primary and secondary National Curriculum subject designed to provide NASBTT Members and their mentors, trainers and subject leads/co-ordinators with resources and information in their subject specialism.

Registered users have access to the Teacher Educator Subject Networks area of the website where they will find easily accessible resources and information.

Each Network includes links to informative websites, recommended reading, instructional videos, articles, blogs, good practice ideas, professional learning opportunities and much more.    These informative resources will help to support Members with the greater responsibilities that now rest with ITT providers, subject leads, subject co-ordinators and subject mentors.

The Networks will continually evolve and we will be making additions throughout the year.

In addition to the resources available on the website, the Networks are also a place for registered users to engage and collaborate with our Subject Specialist Associate Consultants and other colleagues via our dedicated subject Facebook groups.

Register for access

You can register for access to the Teacher Educator Subject Networks here.

On our TESN information webpage you will find a communication to share with your mentors, trainers and subject leads/co-ordinators so that they can register for access.  There is not a limit to the number of colleagues you can signpost to the Teacher Educator Subject Networks.

On completion of registration, users will receive a welcome communication including a password to access the TESN area where they can find all of the resources and request to join the closed Facebook group(s).

Please note that these Networks are dedicated and tailored for NASBTT Members and their mentors, trainers and subject leads/co-ordinators; they are not relevant or suitable for Early Career Teachers (trainees and those in the first two years of their teaching career).

Visit our website for further information on our NASBTT Networks Live and Early Career Teacher Hub for our offering for trainees and Early Career Teachers.
