History Teacher Educators’ Network ( HTEN) is a professional association established to promote the development of history teacher education, representing those who work with and have responsibility for the professional education, development and training of beginning and serving history teachers.

There are opportunities for educators to get involved with HTEN in a number of ways, including involvement with sharing good practice, support for mentors and contributing to conferences. There are two forthcoming online conferences offering  sessions which are relevant for primary and secondary educators.  Details of how to join HTEN and attend the conferences can be gained from:  htenuk@outlook.com.

Membership of HTEN is open to all those working with and have responsibility for history teacher education whether in ITE or CPD at a HEI, a SCITT, as a history lead in a MAT or at local authority level and in heritage, museum and CPD providing organisations.
