NASBTT Awards 2019 Terms and Conditions

NASBTT reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time by posting changes online.

NASBTT’s decisions on all matters relating to the NASBTT Awards 2019 are final and legally binding.  No correspondence will be entered into.

Making a nomination for the NASBTT Awards 2019 is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions and agreement to be bound by them.


Who can make a nomination?

Any member of staff from any member organisation can make a nomination. A list of our current members can be found on our website here.  (If you are not currently a member, please email for details about membership.)

Two or more staff may make a joint submission; please ensure all colleagues are named on the nomination form.

Trainees and/or NQTs may make a nomination but this must be supported by a member of staff from a member organisation.


What period do these awards relate to?

These awards relate to provider activity in the period September 2017 to July 2019.


Can I make a nomination in more than one category?

You can make a nomination in as many categories as you wish, but you will be required to complete a separate nomination for each category.


Can I make more than one nomination in a single category?

Yes, you can make more than one nomination in a single category. However, please ensure that entries are distinctive and unrelated.


How do I make a nomination?

You should complete the nomination form for the relevant category. Nominations will only be accepted on NASBTT’s nomination form.

You should complete all of the required information on the nomination form; incomplete nomination forms will not be accepted.

Your nomination must not exceed 500 words.

In addition to the nomination form, you may submit one additional A4 page with a photograph or graphic supporting your written submission.

You should ensure that all information is true and accurate.  NASBTT has the right to withdraw a nomination if it becomes clear that the nomination is found to be false or written by the nominee.

NASBTT shall be permitted to exclude any nominee at any time at its sole discretion.


When is the closing date for nominations?

All nominations must be received by midnight on Friday, 3rd May 2019.

Nominations received after the closing date will not be accepted.

NASBTT accepts no responsibility for failure to submit entries by the stated deadline or for incomplete entries.


How do I submit my nomination?

How will I know that my nomination has been received?

Once you have submitted your nomination, you will receive an email acknowledging your nomination.

Nominations will only be accepted by email; no other means of entry will be accepted.

NASBTT accepts no responsibility for entries which are not received by email; proof of sending the nomination by email is not proof of delivery.  If you have not received a nomination acknowledgement within 48 hours of submitting your nomination, please resend your nomination.


How will the nominations be judged?

A panel of distinguished colleagues will choose our winners. Our judges have a sound understanding of the education landscape, an interest in teacher recruitment and retention and represent a spread of key players in the education sector.



Shortlisted nominees

Shortlists will be announced on Monday, 10th June 2019. Shortlisted nominees will be invited to our Awards Evening.


When will the winners be announced?

The winners will be announced at the Awards Evening on Thursday, 11th July 2019 at The Union Jack Club, Sandell Street, London. SE1 8UJ



All material submitted as part of any nomination and the copyright thereof shall become the property of NASBTT.

All personal data provided will be held securely and in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
