NASBTT have a range of events scheduled for the new year, offering training and continued professional development opportunities for all members.

In case you’re considering training needs and CPD before the end of the year here’s a summary of training events currently scheduled for 2019:

 

Administrator Training Programme: Effective SCITT and School Direct Administration

NASBTT is proud to launch its first Administrator Training Programme: “Effective SCITT and School Direct Administration”.

This tailor-made programme has been designed by NASBTT to develop the skill set of the fabulous SCITT and School Direct administration workforce that are at the heart of providers. Modules will include, amongst others: Assertiveness – Seeking win-win in day-to-day situations; Attention to Detail – filing frenzy and the importance of presentation in written communication; Building Rapport with Trainees; Recruitment and Selection – designing fair and robust processes; The Art of Prioritising; Information Storage and Processing; Effective Minute Taking; Making the Most of Outlook; Making the Most of Excel; Making the Most of Word. A 3 day programme spread across 3 separate dates, as detailed below:

Leeds – Monday 28th January, Friday 22nd March & Thursday 2nd May 2019 (3 day programme)

London – Wednesday 30th January, Tuesday 19th March & Wednesday 1st May 2019 (3 day programme)

 

NARIC Training: Evaluating International Qualifications

This session has been designed by NARIC to give those dealing with qualifications from overseas a better understanding of how they compare to the UK’s framework.

Sheffield – Thursday 7th February 2019, am

TEP Level 4: Effective SCITT and School Direct Management

NASBTT’s Teacher Educator Programme offers a suite of tailor-made courses designed to provide professional development for Teacher Educators. This Level 4 programme is aimed at SCITT/School Direct senior leaders. This tailor-made programme will include modules such as ‘Compliance with the ITT Criteria’, ‘Building and Developing Resilient Trainees’, ‘Ofsted Inspection Framework: Self-Evaluation and Improvement Planning’, ‘Quality Assurance Processes’, ‘Data Protection and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)’, ‘Marketing, Advertising and Recruitment’ and much more.

Birmingham – Wednesday 13th – Friday 15th February  2019 (3 day programme)

 

TEP Level 3: Training Excellent Mentors, Coaches and Facilitators

NASBTT’s Teacher Educator Programme offers a suite of tailor-made courses designed to provide professional development for Teacher Educators. This Level 3 programme is aimed at Programme Mangers, SCITT Leaders and School CPD Leads: offering the opportunity to become licenced to offer NASBTT Level 1 and 2 Teacher Educator Programmes. This programme, tailor-made by experts in the sector, is designed to recognise, support and develop the skills of those who train and develop Mentors, Coaches and Facilitators.

London – Tuesday 7th – Wednesday 8th May 2019 (2 day programme)

 

TEP Level 4: Finance for SCITT and School Direct Managers

NASBTT’s Teacher Educator Programme offers a suite of tailor-made courses designed to provide professional development for Teacher Educators. This Level 4 programme is aimed at SCITT/School Direct senior leaders. This tailor-made two-day programme will include modules such as budgeting, business plans, profit and loss and balance sheets, bursaries, student finance and much more.

Birmingham – Thursday 23rd – Friday 24th May  2019 (2 day programme)
