National Teacher Recruitment Fair

With the pandemic making it difficult for trainees to visit schools when making job applications, and the importance of finding the right school in which to complete a two-year induction, we are organising a free national online recruitment event for early years, primary, secondary and special school trainee teachers.

The event will be an opportunity for trainees to meet with senior leaders to discuss current and future possible employment opportunities. Trainees will need to bear in mind that schools may not know their full employment needs at the time of the event. However, this is an opportunity to find out more about the schools and to introduce themselves to the leadership teams in those schools, so that when a suitable vacancy does arise, they are able to apply with confidence that it is the right school for them.

The event will be hosted using Zoom, Teams or Google Meet. Ahead of the event, we will provide trainees with a list of schools taking part, a link to the recruitment page on the school website and an online meeting link for that school. Trainees will read through this information, decide which schools they are interested in and use the links to ‘visit’ those schools.
