This communication was shared by the OIA on 31st January 2019:

Good morning,

We have today published our Operating Report 2018 and Operating Plan 2019.

The Report reflects a successful year for the OIA. We met key performance indicators for the timeliness of our processes, despite a significant increase in the number of complaints coming to us (now back to levels similar to those we saw in 2012-2015). We continued to develop our outreach and good practice work, welcomed more higher education providers into membership of our Scheme, and continued to work with other sector organisations to contribute to a joined-up approach across the regulatory landscape.

We will explore trends and themes from the year in more detail in our Annual Report 2018, which we will publish at the end of April.

Our Operating Plan 2019 is based around four key priorities through which we fulfil our purpose: reviewing student complaints, sharing learning, working effectively with others and continually developing our organisation. The Plan sets out what we will do in 2019 to advance each of these priorities and what we intend to have achieved by the end of the year.

If you would like any more information please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,

Sarah
