SEND Synthesis of pupil data/information

 

 Operational definition
The combined use of vertical and horizontal data, i.e. evaluation, interpretation and application of multiple forms of pupil data. This includes both qualitative and quantitative data.

Reflective questions

  • How is development of the whole child or young person addressed in terms of data management?
  • What evidence do trainees provide to demonstrate the use of data to affect and influence their practice in the classroom?
  • How are trainees encouraged to develop their skills of working with parents to find out about the child or young person’s out-of-school life?
