Teaching about Sustainability and Climate Change in History classrooms. UCL launches CPD for teachers. Free 90 minutes modules now available. A taster session runs on 5 December 4.15pm to 5.30pm.
University College London’s Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Education has launched Teaching for Sustainable Futures, a free online professional development programme for teachers. It includes specific modules for history teachers (primary and secondary) to help teachers to embed relevant issues about nature, climate change and sustainable living into history teaching.

For an introduction to the programme, there is an online taster session on 5 December, 4.15-5.30pm. There will then be three optional breakout sessions: primary (history and geography); secondary history and secondary geography. Register for the event here.
