Training programme rollover for 2020
Now the course management transition is complete, the Department for Education (DfE) will be looking after the rollover of courses for all English providers. All postgraduate teacher training courses have now been transferred into ‘Publish’. Later this month, the DfE will start rolling over all courses in Publish, in preparation for the next recruitment cycle (2020/21). The DfE will automatically do this for you – you do not need to take any action. The DfE will be in touch soon to confirm the exact date this will happen, and how you can check and update your details.
Important updates
Course management transition complete
We have recently been working with the Department for Education (DfE), to transition course management for all English based providers from web-link on to the DfE’s expanded ‘Publish’ service. As this transition is complete, you will now manage your course information through the DfE’s ‘Publish’ service, instead of using web-link. Please note, these changes will not affect Apply, and all providers will continue to manage applications through UCAS. If you have any questions about this, please contact the DfE at becomingateacher@digital.education.gov.uk.
Systems and services
Following feedback over the previous two cycles, we will be permanently introducing the reject by default (RBD) change for future recruitment cycles, and reducing the time you have to make decisions on applications, from 40 to 20 working days. This will run from 00:01 on Monday 1 July until 18:00 on Friday 20 September 2019. Any applications received up to, and including Sunday 30 June 2019, will still have 40 working days to be considered. Applicants will continue to receive ten working days to accept an offer. Please refer to our FAQs to answer any questions you may have, and check future bulletins for updates. If you have any queries, please contact our HEP Team on 0344 984 1111, or at hep_team@ucas.ac.uk.

Database of Trainee Teachers and Providers (DTTP) – teacher apprentices
Increased grant funding rates will apply to any trainees who start postgraduate teaching apprenticeship training on, or after, Saturday 1 June 2019.
