Preparing for the 2020 application cycle

The 2020 UCAS Teacher Training application cycle will open on Tuesday 8 October, with DfE Find going live on Tuesday 1 October. From 8 October, applicants can register and apply for teacher training programmes starting in 2020 – so please be prepared to start receiving applications from this date.

You also need to update your contacts. Providers based in England should do this in the DfE Publish tool. Providers in Wales should contact their UCAS relationship manager.
Outstanding CF applicants

The 2019 UCAS Teacher Training application cycle will close on Thursday 3 October.

All outstanding CF applicants need to be confirmed (UF) by Monday 30 September. If you have any queries, please contact our HEP Team on 0344 984 1111, or at hep_team@ucas.ac.uk.

Useful information for the UCAS Teacher Training 2020 cycle

  • The UCAS Teacher Training Admissions Guide includes everything you need to know about managing courses and applications through UCAS.
  • UCAS will be running a full service for applications, as usual. The DfE is running a focused pilot of an application service for this cycle, but anyone outside the pilot group will not be affected.

Applicants will, as last year, be signposted to DfE Find if they wish to search for a course in England – all course management for England is now dealt with by the DfE.

All searches for Welsh courses will be through UCAS Search.
