This post-holder takes responsibility for The Deepings SCITT, a small local SCITT with a ‘family feel,’ training around 40 trainees annually, across the primary and secondary phases.

We are looking to recruit an exceptional leader of teacher development who can take our provision to the next level, including, upon the achievement of our successful joint bid for ITT accreditation for delivery from 2024, representing The Deepings SCITT on the strategic body for this exciting venture.

The successful post-holder will have a strong track record in leading and managing teacher development programmes and be responsible for maintaining and exceeding the high standards of quality already achieved in the SCITT’s teacher development provision. You will take a lead in growing and sustaining our ITT programmes, engaging in partnership arrangements on a local and regional basis. You will engage positively and creatively with school leaders to help shape the provision and ensure that it meets schools’ needs and priorities. You will ensure that SCITT trainees and participants in the SCITT’s teacher development programmes are fully supported in their learning and consistently experience rich and rewarding developmental opportunities with positive outcomes.

The successful applicant will be an aspirational and enthusiastic professional who is seeking to experience the additional responsibilities and challenges of a senior strategic role within an organisation that is at the forefront of national sector developments.

This is an exciting time to join Anthem Trust and lead The Deepings SCITT. We welcome applications for this fulltime, permanent position and will also consider part-time requests or applications for one or two-year secondments into this role.

We are an Equal Opportunities Employer and we welcome applications from all sections of the community.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and require all staff and volunteers to share and demonstrate this commitment.
