The UCL Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Education is undertaking research to find out what students in Year 7, Year 8, and Year 9 think about learning about climate change and sustainability. This work will be really important to help us better understand students’ perspectives and use them to inform our free professional development programme for teachers, Teaching for Sustainable Futures.
To do this, we are asking teachers to help by organising for students to complete the survey in school; this could be in a lesson, during form time, or during a lunch time or after school. The survey comprises eight short sections and is completed online, so students will need access to a computer or tablet in order to complete it. It will take roughly 25 to 30 minutes for students to complete, depending on how quickly they can read and how much they want to write.
For further information about the survey, please refer to the Instructions for Teachers. The survey is accessible from the link in the document, or can be accessed directly here. Please note that the survey will close on Friday 17th May at 5pm.
Thank you again for your support with administering this survey, it is very much appreciated. If you have any questions about the research, or want to find out more, you can contact us at ClimateEducation@ucl.ac.uk.
