The National Association of School-Based Teacher Trainers (NASBTT) is a registered charity committed to promoting high-quality schools-led programmes of training, education and professional development of teachers.

NASBTT is the voice of schools-led initial teacher training and represents our Members’ interests, ensuring that sector views are shared and help to inform future policy decisions.

Our representation and advocacy work is informed by consultation with our Members and key priorities for the sector.

Our Members include School Centred Initial Teacher Training providers (SCITTs), HEIs, Teaching School Hubs and organisations engaged in the education and professional development of teachers.

SCITT Membership

2026-2027

  • £463.50
  • Plus £15.04 per postgraduate and undergraduate trainee registered on all programmes as per the ITT census*

* If the institution does not appear on the ITT census, we will contact you separately to collect your trainee numbers.


Membership fees will be calculated pro rata for organisations that join during the academic year.


HEI Membership

2026-2027

  • £463.50
  • Plus £15.04 per postgraduate trainee registered on all programmes as per the ITT census*

* If the institution does not appear on the ITT census, we will contact you separately to collect your trainee numbers.

Associate Membership

2026-2027

Associate Membership is relevant for Teaching School Hubs, schools, Multi-Academy Trusts (MAT) or other not-for-profit organisations or individuals currently involved in the education and professional development of teachers.

  • £463.50

Membership fees will be calculated pro rata for organisations that join during the academic year.

Accredited SCITTs and HEIs are not eligable for Associate Membership.
