Salary: £59,212 – £65,186

Due to expansion and growth, South Farnham Educational Trust is seeking to appoint an outstanding, dynamic, committed and ambitious Deputy Director of Initial Teacher Training (Secondary) to further grow and develop its secondary provision.

South Farnham Educational Trust currently consists of eight primary schools and two secondary schools. In addition, and alongside our Outstanding SCITT, we have a leading Teaching School Hub.

South Farnham SCITT is an Ofsted Outstanding Provider of Initial Teacher Education and as an accredited provider can recommend for the award of Qualified Teacher Status. We offer tuition fee, Post Graduate Teacher Apprenticeships (PGTA) and Assessment Only programmes in both Primary and Secondary.

Appointment of Deputy Director of ITT (Secondary) reflects the expansion and development needs of our current provision.

South Farnham SCITT is a well established provider of Primary ITT and following the re-accreditation process took on a respected local secondary programme. The newly appointed Deputy Director of ITT (secondary) will be based at our Farnham Central office, however the post will require travel to training venues and placement schools across Surrey and Hampshire.

This post is a unique opportunity for an outstanding and ambitious professional with secondary ITT experience, to lead and deliver the SCITTs key priorities and further develop the secondary programme. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Initial Teacher Training, lead the secondary programme team and work in close collaboration with the Deputy Director of ITT (Primary) and other colleagues across the SCITT and wider Trust.

Excellent opportunity to lead, develop and oversee school-centred secondary training, be responsible for providing consistently high-quality training and support for mentors, trainees and tutors to ensure fidelity to the programme requirements and ensure South Farnham SCITT’s personal approach continues to train outstanding teachers for the future.
