The Apprenticeship Funding Rules 2026-27 V1 include an amendment the APAR exemption (263.3) to allow all apprenticeship providers to engage subcontractors who are not on the published APAR but will deliver less than £100,000 of apprenticeship training. This exemption was already in place for ITT providers and has now been extended to all providers. Therefore, reference to ITT providers specifically (263.4) has been removed from the Apprenticeship Funding Rules, however in practice nothing has changed for ITT providers.
