Below is a recent communication from Student Loan Company sent to ITT organisations:
|
As you’ll be aware, the student finance system is changing for new English students starting study from January 2027. The introduction of LLE will be the replacement for the current HE student finance system for level 4 to 6 study. The changes involved in implementing the LLE across the HE and FE sector will be far reaching. Changes will involve senior management and strategic decision-making that cuts across faculties and different management areas within universities and colleges.
Through our regular contacts and touchpoints, we’ve developed excellent operational relationships with student finance teams. Those contacts will continue to work with us in the roll out of the new student finance processes.
I’m writing to you to ask that you would identify an ‘LLE Lead’ or ‘Champion’. This individual would work with us at a more senior level on the wider aspects and more cross cutting changes that the LLE will involve.LLE is more far reaching than the current system and will also require engagement with those involved in
We’d see the role of this LLE Lead as two-fold:
1. Communication and engagement The LLE lead would be our strategic point of contact. We’d work closely with them, providing them with essential LLE updates, sharing future comms and roll out plans. We’d also encourage them to attend appropriate engagements and events. They’d be responsible for the spread of information and updates within their organisation. 2. Feedback and insight The LLE lead would provide feedback and questions to us and provide valuable insight from within their organisation during implementation. To nominate your LLE Lead please email the name of your LLE Lead contact to LLE_enquiries@slc.co.uk by Friday 7 November.I look forward to working with you as we implement the Lifelong Learning Entitlement. Kind Regards
