My name is Monica Clarke, and I am a South African-born author now living in the UK.
I have created a FREE International Teacher Resource Pack for children aged 5–10 to accompany my children’s book Apartheid and Me, based on my lived experience of growing up under apartheid.
The pack contains activities, worksheets and supporting resources to help teachers introduce children to apartheid through a child’s lived experience.
With Black History Month 2026 approaching in October, this resource is available free of charge to teachers and trainee teachers and those involved in primary teacher education, particularly those interested in history and inclusive curriculum provision.
