We are delighted to announce that entries are now open for the NASBTT Awards 2026.

First introduced in 2019, the NASBTT Awards celebrate and recognise the outstanding achievements, expertise and dedication across the Initial Teacher Training (ITT) sector. They provide an opportunity to acknowledge the individuals and organisations whose commitment, expertise and passion continue to make a meaningful difference to teacher education and the development of the teachers of the future.

Every day, colleagues across the sector go above and beyond to deliver high-quality training, support mentors and trainees, drive innovation and strengthen partnerships. The NASBTT Awards offer a chance to shine a spotlight on these successes, share best practice and celebrate the impact of the remarkable work taking place across our membership.

We encourage all NASBTT Members to consider submitting an entry. Whether you are recognising an inspirational colleague, celebrating an impactful initiative, highlighting an innovative approach or acknowledging a team that consistently demonstrates excellence, these awards are an opportunity to ensure their contribution receives the recognition it deserves.

Entries are open across a range of categories designed to reflect the breadth and diversity of excellence within ITT. Full details of the award categories and entry criteria are available on the NASBTT website.

The closing date for entries is Friday, 11th September 2026. Following the closing date, all entries will undergo an independent judging process, with judges reviewing entries against the published criteria. Three finalists will be shortlisted in each category and invited to attend the NASBTT Awards Dinner, where the winners will be announced and presented with their awards.

Taking place on Thursday, 5th November 2026 at BMA House, London, the NASBTT Awards Dinner will bring together colleagues from across the ITT sector for an evening of celebration and recognition.

The evening will begin with a drinks reception, followed by the awards ceremony and a formal dinner, providing an opportunity to connect with peers, reflect on the achievements of the sector and celebrate those who are making an exceptional contribution to teacher education and training.

We know that outstanding work often happens quietly behind the scenes. The NASBTT Awards are an opportunity to pause, recognise excellence and celebrate the people and organisations whose dedication is helping to shape the future of teacher training.

Submit your entries today and help us recognise the very best of the ITT sector. We look forward to celebrating with you in November 2026.
