Supporting Neurodivergent Trainees in Teacher Training is a practical, interactive online workshop designed for ITT providers who want to build inclusive, confident and legally compliant approaches to trainee support.
Led by Catrina Lowri, this session will explore the real barriers neurodivergent trainees face, from disclosure and identification to course completion, employment and progression and provide clear, actionable strategies that providers can implement immediately.
Through real-world case studies, trainee voice, and collaborative discussion, the workshop will demystify reasonable adjustments, challenge common misconceptions and show how inclusive practice benefits all trainees.
Taking a full-pipeline approach, the session will help you create psychologically safe recruitment processes, equip mentors and trainers with the right tools and language and recognise the strengths reminding, understanding that ensures providers feel empowered, not criticised, in their support strategies.
Delegates will leave with practical tools, increased confidence and a clear action plan for their own context.
