At the University of Brighton, we recognise that every learner, educator, school and every SCITT provider is unique. That’s why we offer a PGCE partnership model that is flexible and collaborative – tailored to complement your specific ethos, curriculum and the needs of the school communities your serve.
We’re currently welcoming expressions of interest from SCITT providers interested in joining our valued network. We’re offering the opportunity for informal conversations about potential partnerships starting from September 2026 onwards.
Our bespoke PGCEs add real value to your high-quality school-based training by providing a strong academic foundation in educational research, theory and reflective practice – alongside dedicated, responsive support throughout. Our courses are designed to deliver both classroom impact for pupils and long-term professional development for your trainees and the schools they work in.
We’re proud that Education at the University of Brighton is ranked 2nd in the UK in the Guardian University Guide 2025—a testament to our commitment to excellence in teacher education. With over 100 years of experience and a reputation for inclusion and innovation, we’re excited to collaborate with you to strengthen and support your provision.
We’re with you every step of the way. We don’t just offer a service – we build true partnerships. We’ll work closely with you to co-design and co-deliver a PGCE experience that aligns with your curriculum, delivery schedule, and trainee needs. Our expert tutors provide dedicated support, and our flexible delivery model with trainee and staff access to our online library and virtual learning environment is available online on a nationwide basis.
Together, we can offer your trainees a university-accredited qualification that enhances their journey through a career in teaching while enriching the educational experience of the children they teach.
Please contact Andy Davies (Deputy Dean – School of Education, Sport and Health Sciences) on A.J.Davies@brighton.ac.uk by Friday 26th September to arrange an informal discussion about different partnership models that may suit you.
