The Institute of Physics (IOP) is awarding 175 scholarships worth £31,000 to trainees who are committed to inspiring future generations of physicists. Scholarships are for those starting teacher training in England in September 2026.
The additional benefits of the scholarship programme are professional development opportunities including access to Continued Professional Development (CPD) workshops and events, support from a network of fellow IOP scholars and physics teachers across the UK, subject specific mentoring as well as free IOP membership for their teacher training year.
