The 2026 to 2027 academic year has now started. Higher education institutions (HEIs) and school-centred initial teacher training (SCITT) providers must complete any outstanding actions in Register from the 2025 to 2026 academic year.
Check that you have added each trainee’s personal email address to their record, not their academic email address. This allows the Department for Education to contact trainees after they finish their training.
You cannot make any changes to a trainee’s record once they have gained qualified teacher status (QTS) or early years teacher status (EYTS).
