The Initial Teacher Training and Early Career Framework (ITTECF) emphasises several key reading recommendations to support trainees and early career teachers. These recommendations are rooted in the Teachers’ Standards and focus on developing strong subject knowledge, effective classroom practice and adaptive teaching strategies.
As part of NASBTT’s support for the Initial Teacher Training and Education Curriculum Framework (ITTECF), we have compiled a series of Key Reading Recommendations: Reading Summaries. The aim of these is to make key texts more accessible, offering a clear understanding of their relevance and application to the ITTECF. Each summary draws out the main messages, implications for practice and connections to the ITTECF, helping colleagues engage with research in a practical and time-efficient way.
