AO Compliance Visits

It has come to our attention that a number of providers offering Assessment Only provision are being asked to host a visit from DFE to ensure compliance with the AO criteria.

We suspect that this approach reflects growing concerns over the number of unregulated agencies purporting to provide training programmes and then putting people forward for AO.

It is imperative that all providers currently offering AO check for compliance, including rules relating to who is accepted for AO.  The DfE’s guidance on the AO route can be found here.
