We regularly receive queries from members asking for benchmarks against which they can audit their income and expenditure for budgetary purposes. As you will alll be aware, budgets vary dramatically between providers depending on size, legal structure, context and scope. In order for us to best advise members, it would be most helpful to have sight of as broad a range of budgets as possible. To this end, we are calling for members who are willing to do so to share their budgets with us. These will of course be treated in the strictest of confidences and will only be used to determine broad benchmarks for key categories of income and expenditure. In order to minimise disruption and workload for you as much as possible, please send your budget in whatever format it currently exists and we will run the calculations at our end. The more members who are willing to share this information the clearer the picture we will be able to give allowing for transparency within the sector and more accurate decision making when setting future budgets.
