Overview

NASBTT is delighted to offer a subject specific networking event for Teacher Educators. These events are facilitated by our Subject Specialist Associate Consultants and have been put together in recognition of the increased focus on subject knowledge within the school curriculum, ITT programmes and support for Early Career Teachers, and the greater responsibilities that will rest with subject leads/co-ordinators and subject mentors as a result. Recordings of these events will also be available on our Teacher Educator Subject Networks.

These events are the perfect opportunity for Teacher Educators to focus on specific subjects and engage with colleagues over a virtual coffee or cuppa.

Session Overview/Focus:

  • To be aware of  the resources available for history educators.

  • To have an understanding of diversity and decolonisation in the primary history curriculum.

  • To consider how historical enquiry can be used in the KS1 and KS2

Expected Learning Outcomes

  • A deeper understanding of the national curriculum requirements

Now more than ever, the increased focus on subject knowledge within the school curriculum and ITT programmes means that high quality subject resources are invaluable. Researching these can be a challenge and we understand that your time is precious. In recognition of this, NASBTT is delighted to introduce its series of free professional Teacher Educator Subject Networks.

Working together with our Subject Specialist Associate Consultants, there is a Network for each primary and secondary National Curriculum subject designed to provide NASBTT Members and their mentors, trainers and subject leads/co-ordinators with resources and information in their subject specialism.
