Please share the following information with your trainees.

Are you enrolling/enrolled in a teacher training course?

Looking for participants to help understand stress and resilience in the teaching profession!

We are looking for trainee teachers to help us understand why some people are more resilient to stress than others. We know that teaching is a stressful occupation, but little is known about what leads some people to feel more or less stressed than others in teaching. It is important for us to investigate this, to develop new online tools to support teachers experiencing stress and boost resilience.

We are looking for people who are:

  • Enrolling/currently enrolled in a full-time teacher training course that leads to a Qualified Teacher Status in the UK
  • Between the ages of 18-70

If you would like to take part in the study, please click on this link: https://kcliop.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0ln2orNDCbeIgTP to complete the first survey online. This survey will determine your eligibility to participate and will contain a simple task along with some short questionnaires. It will take about 20 minutes to complete in total. The task will involve reorganizing words in sentences, while the questionnaires will ask about experiences of stress and resilience and how you manage emotions.

After this initial assessment, we will be in touch again at two time points where you will be asked to complete short surveys online. The first follow-up survey will take 10 minutes to complete and will occur during your final placement (or prior to obtaining QTS). The second follow-up survey will take 15 minutes to complete and will occur within the first six months of being a Newly Qualified Teacher.

To thank you for your time and contribution, you will be entered into a prize draw which will take place after finishing each survey:

You will have the chance to win 1 of 6 £25 gift voucher at the initial survey.

You will have the chance to win 1 of 6 £25 gift vouchers at the first follow-up survey.

You will have the chance to win 1 of 6 £25 gift vouchers at the second follow-up survey.
