NASBTT have a number of events coming up this month, offering training and continued professional development opportunities for all members.
Events and courses taking place in February:
NARIC Training: Evaluating International Qualifications
These sessions have been designed by NARIC to give those dealing with qualifications from overseas a better understanding of how they compare to the UK’s framework.
The session focuses on helping delegates read and understand education documents and, therefore, be able to evaluate them. The documents considered will be from vocational, secondary and HE levels and the case studies used will include documents in the original language as well as translations into English.
The key objectives of the training are:
- Understand how to apply credential evaluation and assessment theory to reach a final decision regarding comparability;
- Understand how the status of an institution may affect the result of a comparison;
- Explore the relevance of academic and vocational education and training systems.
Delegates receive a comprehensive training manual to support the fully interactive session.
Dates and Locations:
Thursday 7th February – Sheffield
Monday 11th February, pm – London (the morning session is fully booked)
