At NASBTT, we believe in the power of transforming children’s lives through education.
Our work in supporting over 240 teacher training organisations to train the next generation of teachers offers a unique and privileged position to influence policies and practices in teacher training and development across the schools-led sector.
The last three years have been extremely challenging across the education sector, but we have seen people achieve astounding things, which have made us prouder than ever before of the strength and resilience of our members. During this difficult time, we have expanded our offer and strengthened our organisation and are now looking forward to supporting the sector through a period of transition, whilst securing sustainable growth for the future so we can continue to thrive.
To support us in these aims, we are looking for three new trustees to join our dynamic Board. To ensure our decision making is informed by a range of perspectives and that we represent the diversity of the education sector, we would particularly welcome applications from individuals who have expertise in finance, business acumen, the law or human resources and individuals from Black, Asian or other Global Majority backgrounds. Knowledge and experience of the ITT sector or the wider education landscape would also be desirable.
The NASBTT team is enthusiastic and committed, from staff and consultants to training providers and trainee teachers and, of course, our Board of Trustees. Through your role on the Board, you will help provide the vision, leadership and direction that makes our organisation so special.
You will champion diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging at Board level, ensuring that a range of voices and diverse experiences have been taken into account when decisions are made. You will probe, ask questions and challenge us to ensure all our strategies, approaches and decisions are the right ones, and that the way we work is sustainable, meaningful and engaging.
