An exciting opportunity has arisen within The Priory Federation of Academies Trust for a Programme Leader role in the secondary phase of Lincolnshire SCITT with a start in September 2022. We are seeking to appoint a highly qualified professional who has a passion for teacher development to work within a team of programme leaders. The successful candidate will have a track record of high-quality classroom practice and an understanding of the interplay between curriculum, learning and assessment.

The successful candidate will have experience of supporting, monitoring and assessing trainees or ECTs in line with the Teachers’ Standards, and of delivering training to a range of school-based professionals.

Within the Lincolnshire SCITT structure, trainees spend four days a week in schools and one day a week in training. The role of the programme leaders will be to deliver training as part of the taught curriculum; to monitor and support trainee development in schools; and to assess trainees for QTS. Therefore, it is imperative that applicants have up-to-date knowledge of the ITT Core Content.  Experience of working with trainee teachers in either a school or HEI setting is also deemed essential for this role.

The position may suit somebody looking for part-time employment or a combination of school-based and SCITT-based responsibilities.
