OCR stopped accepting requests for replacement certificates for pre-2000 results at the onset of lockdown. Since then, we have offered our Third Party Verification service as an alternative to any candidates who have approached us. This is an emailed confirmation of results sent directly to a prospective employer/university etc. on a candidate’s behalf.
Any requests we have had for replacement certificates for pre-2000 results in our queue have been contacted and offered the Third Party Verification service instead. We aren’t aware of any candidates who have failed to start their course or job as a result of the restriction we had in place and at all stages we have sought to find a resolution for any candidates who have chosen to engage with us directly. If you are aware of anyone who hasn’t managed to access our service, do please put them in touch with us and we can deal with them swiftly.
I should also say that now that access to our offices has resumed we are in a position to being processing certificates for pre-2000 results again. From now on all applications placed will be processed as requests for hard copy Certificate Replacements. As a result the statement that was on our website about the temporary changes to our replacement certificates service has now been removed.
