The Department for Education has recently published the report on the working lives of teachers and leaders. This report raises some important issues for secondary school leaders, including the fact that there are a significant number of non-subject specialists teaching RE who do not feel confident teaching the subject (38% felt confident compared to 93% of subject specialists). Subject knowledge CPD was the most commonly cited need for teachers, but amongst the lowest priorities for school leaders.
