Preparing for the 2021 cycle

Next month the 2021 UCAS Teacher Training cycle will open for applications.

The 2021 cycle will mark the beginning of the DfE’s Apply for Teacher Training university pilot which builds on the success of the 2020 cycle pilot. This will mean, both UCAS and the DfE will offer application services – ahead of October 2021 when all teacher training applications will transition to DfE’s Apply for teacher training.

Here are the key dates you need to know:

  • 6 October – The DfE Find Postgraduate Teacher Training launches with 2021 courses – make sure your programmes are set up ahead of this date.
  • 13 October – UCAS Teacher Training ‘Apply’ and DfE ‘Apply for Teacher Training’ systems both open for 2021 applications.
