NITE is growing, both in the number of courses and programmes we offer and the number of teachers and school leaders around the world who undertake training and professional development with us.  As such, the following new position is now available:


Director of Programmes
Permanent, full time
Salary: £71,376 – £77,301
plus up to 10% discretionary performance bonus
Start date: September 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter
Location: Silverstone Park, Northamptonshire (flexible location may be possible)


Coventry University’s National Institute of Teaching & Education (NITE) is a global provider of sector-leading postgraduate degrees, training and professional development for teachers and school leaders. Our courses innovate in their flexibility and blend online and in-person delivery with school-based practice and a highly regarded tutorial programme.


About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead NITE’s growth strategy for programmes and courses which sit outside of Initial Teacher Training. We offer a number of Master’s degrees, Apprenticeship programmes and CPD courses in Education and Educational Leadership, and this role will oversee their development and further grow our programme portfolio worldwide.


About you

We are looking for an intelligent and principled leader with the requisite knowledge to develop and quality assure a large and growing portfolio of programmes.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have successful senior leadership experience in schools, a tuned awareness of schools’ professional development and training needs on a global scale and the strategic know-how to contribute to our vision and help turn it into a reality.
