The National Mathematics & Physics SCITT (NMAP SCITT) is England’s only school-based Mathematics and Physics subject-specific initial teacher training provider. The NMAP SCITT aims to provide the best Mathematics and Physics teacher training in the country. The SCITT is led by, and based at, Wycombe High School, an outstanding girls’ grammar school. Our programme is delivered via a network of the very best state and independent schools across the country.

An exciting vacancy has arisen for a Programme Lead to join our unique, ambitious, and expanding SCITT. The successful applicant will be a senior leader, an outstanding classroom practitioner in any subject, and have experience of secondary ITT. The post will involve working three days each week for the SCITT and two days teaching in Wycombe High School.

This is a high profile position with responsibility for successful and effective programme leadership. The Programme Lead will model and promote the highest standards of teacher training. They will have the expertise and experience to manage a team of expert colleagues to deliver a cohesive, integrated, and personalised curriculum.

The Programme Lead will report to the SCITT Director, and will be based at Wycombe High School, in High Wycombe. Some national travel will be required.

The National Mathematics and Physics SCITT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all centre and partnership staff, trainees, external providers, and other stakeholders to share this commitment. All staff are required, before taking up post, to undertake a criminal record check through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
