About this Role

The last few years have been a turbulent time across the education sector and our ITT partnership has continued to grow and improve despite the many challenges we have. We are now planning ahead for the next phases of our development; not just by reviewing and redeveloping our programmes  in preparation for 2024 and the new quality requirements, but also the introduction of a post-graduate apprenticeship route to QTS. The SCITT has excellent relationships with its partnership schools and a strong reputation for the quality of our programmes, our inclusive ethos and our restlessness and drive for improvement.

We are proud of our work and the impact that we have on the schools in our partnership and the wider education system beyond. This is an exciting time for us and we are looking for someone who is ambitious for the education system, forward-thinking and creative, to enhance and complement our existing team. As a relatively small team working in a complex and ever-changing environment, we are looking for someone who is adaptable, has high standards and is great at making and maintaining relationships across a wide range of school contexts.

A key part of our success has been an ongoing investment in our own development and so access to relevant and high quality CPD is an essential part of the way we support our growthwth as a central team. The SCITT is part of the River Learning Trust and operates alongside the Oxfordshire Teaching School Hub (OTSH) and it is likely the successful candidate will be involved in aspects of the work of the hub.
