On Monday 28 January 2019 we launched the Teacher Recruitment and Retention Strategy, developed in collaboration with ITT providers, teachers, school leaders and education experts, the strategy outlines four key areas for reform and investment:

  1. Create the right climate for leaders to establish supportive school cultures
  2. Transform support for early career teachers
  3. Build a career offer that remains attractive to teachers as their careers and lives develop
  4. Make it easier for great people to become teachers

We are looking forward to working with you to deliver on the ambition set out in this strategy.
