Work pattern: Part Time – flexible (0.6) (Some home-working will be possible, along with time at our base in Exeter and travel to schools, especially in North Devon)
The Devon Primary SCITT is looking to appoint an inspirational, dynamic and highly effective Senior Tutor to support its important work, developing the next generation of outstanding teachers.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the core team of an extremely committed and successful partnership, recognised nationally as the ‘School-based Provider of the Year, 2019’.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the professional leadership and day to day management of the SCITT
- Contribute to marketing and recruitment events
- Participate in the selection of trainees
- Build quality relationships with the trainees and all stakeholders
- Nurture and develop the trainees, providing quality pastoral and professional support
- Review and develop course content, processes and documentation
- Observe and analyse trainees teaching, coaching them and school-based staff
- Assess and monitor trainee progress to inform interventions
- Quality assure school-based training and trainee placements.
