This edition of the Teacher Recruitment Bulletin from Department for Education (DfE) contains information on the return of Ofsted Initial Teacher Education (ITE) inspections, which we are issuing now to avoid any delay to receiving this important information.
The regular edition of this bulletin for December 2020, which contains vital information to support your recruitment of ITT trainees and teachers, will still follow as scheduled.
Regular inspections of ITT partnerships
Routine inspections of ITT partnerships were scheduled to commence from January 2021. Following the announcement of a return to routine school inspections, alongside other inspection remits, we can now confirm that inspections of ITT partnerships will commence from April 2021 instead.
Ofsted will provide updated information to partnerships on any interim activity taking place prior to April 2021.
