Updated guidance in respect of Early Years ITT programmes has now been published and can be found here.
Please note in particular the section on entry requirements, which allows for the attainment of GCSEs, or their equivalents, to be demonstrated by 30th November 2020. Whilst this is currently only published in the EYITT Criteria, we have been given permission by the DfE to confirm that these allowances will apply to all QTS programmes.
These changes follow evidence given to the DfE by NASBTT and UCET and are a direct result of your help in gathering data to support the need for flexibility in these requirements. Thank you for continuing to engage with us on policy issues – it really does make a difference.
